Rapper Nicki Minaj is reportedly at risk of losing her $20 million mansion in Hidden Hills, Los Angeles, following her husband Kenneth Petty’s ongoing legal troubles stemming from a 2019 assault case.
According to court documents filed in October, a German court ordered Minaj and Petty to pay $503,318 to their former security chief, Thomas Weidenmüller. The lawsuit arose after Petty allegedly punched Weidenmüller backstage during the Nicki WRLD Tour in 2019, an attack that left the victim with a broken jaw requiring multiple surgeries.
Legal filings obtained by The Real Deal revealed that Minaj’s Los Angeles home could be seized to cover the unpaid judgment. The document stated:
“The dwelling is subject to a $13,258,000 mortgage lien and a $722,151 homestead exemption… yielding approximately $6 million in equity beyond the lien and exemption. That amount is more than sufficient to satisfy the judgment.”
Weidenmüller’s legal team claims the couple has ignored multiple payment requests, pushing them to seek court approval to sell Minaj’s mansion and recover the debt.
So far, neither Nicki Minaj nor Kenneth Petty has issued a public statement regarding the case. The development adds to a string of legal and personal controversies the rapper has faced in recent months.
