Nigerian singer and rapper Odumodublvck has explained the meaning behind his signature red cap, a key part of his public image.

He stated that the cap is not just a fashion statement; it’s a “war cap” with deep roots in Igbo tradition.

Odumodublvck described the music industry as a “battleground” and revealed that he wears the cap to fight a metaphorical war within it. In his interview on Comfortably Speaking, he explained: “Whenever my tribe wants to go to war against another clan, all the warriors will wear this.”

By connecting this cultural tradition to his career, he suggests his approach to the music industry is one of a warrior ready for conflict.

“So if I enter the music industry, which is a battleground, put two and two together,” the rapper stated.
