Tonto Dikeh Opens Up About Her Healing Journey and Spiritual Transformation

Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh has shared a personal story about her journey from emotional pain to spiritual healing. In a heartfelt Instagram post, the mother of one spoke about how her life changed after she fully gave herself to God and allowed the Holy Spirit to guide her through her struggles.

She revealed that for a long time, she battled with deep emotional issues, including uncontrollable anger, depression, and even thoughts of suicide.

“There was a time my anger was out of control. It ruined my relationships and opportunities,” she said. “I used to think my pain made me strong, but it was actually destroying me.”

Tonto admitted that depression once felt like her “closest companion,” and that she lived with constant emotional pain. At her lowest point, she felt lost and hopeless.

“I was both the wound and the weapon,” she wrote. “Pain was like a second skin, and I almost gave up. But then God spoke to me — told me to rise — and I did.”

Her turning point came when she surrendered completely to God, letting go of her past and allowing God to change her heart. Since then, Tonto says she has experienced true peace and healing.

She also shared that her spiritual rebirth helped her to overcome sexual immorality, and she now practices celibacy as part of her faith.

“I gave my life to Christ after secondary school but didn’t take it seriously. Life broke me, and through that pain, I found my way back to God,” she confessed.

Today, Tonto says her past has taught her to be more understanding and compassionate towards others.

“When I see people acting out of pain, I don’t judge them. I pray for them because I know how it feels to lose yourself just trying to survive.”

Her story is one of pain, healing, and transformation — a reminder, she says, that it’s never too late to find peace and start again.
