Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Tuoyo Ideh, has accused operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) of assaulting him during a recent raid at Proxy Nightclub in Victoria Island, Lagos.

The raid, which occurred in the early hours of Sunday, October 26, led to the arrest of over 100 patrons, including popular Lagos socialite Pretty Mike.

In a video shared on Monday night, Tuoyo recounted his experience, alleging that NDLEA officers and accompanying military personnel subjected him to physical abuse despite finding no incriminating evidence on him.

He explained that he was at the club in his capacity as a promoter, helping clients secure a table, when the officers stormed the venue.

“I’m a promoter; if you see me outside, it’s for business, promoting different clubs. I hadn’t even been inside 30 minutes when suddenly everyone was told to get down. People in black uniforms and military personnel took our phones and searched us — even my socks — and found nothing,” he said.

Tuoyo alleged that after several hours, a woman pointed at him, prompting a violent reaction from the officers.

“Five men rushed me, slapped me, and one said, ‘Na you go post abi? Shoot him.’ They beat me with sticks, kicked and slapped me. I was rolling on the floor, struggling to breathe. I’ve never been beaten like that in my life,” he recounted.

The reality star described the experience as humiliating and called for accountability from the NDLEA over the alleged assault.
