The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has confirmed that the Super Eagles’ camp for the 2026 FIFA World Cup Africa playoffs will officially open on Sunday, November 10, in Rabat, Morocco.

Nigeria will battle Gabon in the semi-final stage of the playoffs, with the fixture scheduled for Thursday, November 13. The winner will advance to face either Cameroon or DR Congo—who contest the other semi-final—on Sunday, November 16, at the Prince Moulay Stadium in Rabat.

According to the Confederation of African Football (CAF), only one team from this playoff group will qualify for the inter-continental playoffs in Mexico, slated for March 2026. The global playoffs will determine the final entrants for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, jointly hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

The NFF stated that all invited players are expected to arrive in camp on or before Sunday evening, as preparations intensify for the crucial encounters.

With Nigeria aiming to return to the World Cup after missing the 2022 edition in Qatar, head coach Finidi George is expected to name a strong squad blending experience with emerging talents.
