Senator Ned Nwoko has denied claims that he is seeking to reconcile with his estranged wife, Nollywood actress Regina Daniels.
Regina had earlier alleged that Nwoko was sending family members to beg her for a reunion while still attacking her publicly. Her colleague, Doris Ogala, also supported this claim in a post on Instagram.
However, Nwoko, through his communication lead, dismissed all suggestions that he wants Regina back. He insisted that he has not been chatting with her and has no intention of reconciling.
He also denied Regina’s allegations involving drugs and sexual misconduct, calling them false and impossible to prove. According to him, Regina’s recent behaviour and social media outbursts are the result of hard drug use.
Nwoko said their last WhatsApp exchange showed his frustration and his warning that she must return to rehabilitation or he would stop funding her lifestyle. He added that after receiving the message, Regina became violent, destroying cars and other property.
He also referenced a video Regina posted online showing him in the bathroom, saying he was shocked it was shared publicly.
According to the Senator, Regina had been making progress in rehabilitation but suffered a setback around her birthday, when she allegedly used hard drugs with friends for four days.
