Nigerian rapper Olamide has dismissed rumours of a feud with his former YBNL signee, Asake, assuring fans that their relationship remains solid.
Speaking in an interview with BBC Africa, Olamide addressed speculations surrounding Asake’s exit from YBNL and made it clear that there is no tension between them. He said business disagreements may arise in the industry, but they never affect personal relationships.
“We are still family. That’s my brother for life. It’s always the same thing with me and every other people. Business is never personal, and after business, life goes on,” he stated.
Fans have praised Olamide for handling the situation with maturity and loyalty. Many on social media applauded him for prioritizing relationships over drama, noting that such qualities are part of why he is widely respected.
Rumours of a fallout intensified in 2024 after Asake unfollowed members of the YBNL team and deleted his Instagram account, sparking speculation about internal issues. Olamide’s recent comments, however, reaffirm that their bond remains strong despite business shifts.
