“Nigeria Will Never Become an Islamic State” – Bishop David Oyedepo

Bishop David Oyedepo has issued a strong declaration during a recent service, insisting that Nigeria will not fall under extremist influence despite the rising wave of violent attacks across the country.

He assured Christians that the Church in Nigeria remains unshakeable and urged believers to stand firm in faith as the nation confronts growing insecurity.

His comments were triggered by recent tragedies, including the killing of five worshippers during a church service and the abduction of 35 villagers, with kidnappers demanding a ₦100 million ransom.

Oyedepo condemned the attackers and pronounced curses on those behind the killings and kidnappings. He told his congregation that their prayers would provoke divine judgment and that those responsible would face catastrophic consequences.

The Church of Christ in Nigeria is indestructible. The gates of hell cannot prevail.
The battle is raging, jihadists are roaring, but we operate from a higher realm.
Five people shot dead in church, 35 abducted, and they want ₦100 million from a rural village. Every perpetrator and their sponsors come under a curse today. Within seven days, they will smell and stink.”

Oyedepo reaffirmed confidence that God would intervene and bring justice to those responsible for the violence.
