Mohbad’s widow, Wunmi, has issued a new update on the ongoing court case concerning the paternity of her son, Liam, following continued insistence from the late singer’s father, Joseph Aloba, that a DNA test must be conducted.

Joseph Aloba had approached the court seeking an order to compel Wunmi to submit Liam for a DNA test, a process many Nigerians believed she was avoiding. However, Wunmi has now stated that her father-in-law has been the one delaying the proceedings by constantly shifting conditions.

In a statement released through her lawyers on her Instagram page, Wunmi explained that the case resumed in court on Wednesday, where Joseph Aloba filed an application requesting that the DNA test be conducted in two hospitals of his choosing.

According to her, the court struck out the application, insisting that the DNA test must be done in two neutral hospitals where neither party has any interest.

Wunmi maintained that she remains committed to following the court’s directives and urged the public to disregard claims that she is evading the process.
