Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has spoken emotionally about her ongoing separation from her children amid escalating marital tensions with her estranged husband, Ned Nwoko.
The actress revealed that Nwoko has filed for full custody of their two sons, even though the children are currently in his care. She expressed deep distress over being separated from them, describing the situation as painful and unbearable for any mother.
In a statement shared on Instagram, Regina said the public display of her children by their father is a calculated move aimed at drawing attention rather than protecting their well-being. She questioned why a public figure with legislative experience would repeatedly expose the children to media scrutiny during such a sensitive period.
She also accused Nwoko of dismissing all her nannies and coercing them into making false allegations against her, including claims of violence and alcohol abuse, allegedly in the presence of the children.
“People may believe that I am happy, but no mother can be at peace while separated from her children,” she wrote. “I chose not to allow that pain to define or imprison me, which is why it took time for me to walk away.”
Regina disclosed that the last time she spoke with her children was in mid-November. She added that despite keeping quiet to avoid further drama online, she felt compelled to speak out due to what she described as immature and provocative actions by her husband.
She reaffirmed her determination to fight for custody, insisting that her age does not diminish her role or love as a mother.
“I may be young, but I am a mum. I enjoy being a mum and I miss being a mum. It’s crazy if their father thinks I won’t come for my children. I definitely will,” she stated.
The actress concluded by stressing that she would not back down from reclaiming her place in her children’s lives.
