In a strategic move aimed at strengthening governance and enhancing advisory support, Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has appointed five new special advisers. This new set of appointments includes two former commissioners, Prof. Peter Medee and Barrister Tasie-Amadi, along with three others who will serve in key advisory roles.
The Governor’s decision to bring in these experienced leaders reflects his commitment to tapping into the wealth of knowledge and expertise available in the state to drive policies forward. Prof. Peter Medee, who previously served as Commissioner for Education, brings a wealth of academic and administrative experience to his new advisory position. Barr. Tasie-Amadi, a former Commissioner for Justice, is also set to leverage his legal expertise in this fresh role.
The additional appointments aim to provide specialized guidance across various sectors, ensuring that the Governor’s initiatives receive high-level strategic input. This move is seen as part of Fubara’s ongoing efforts to streamline the administration’s decision-making process and address the pressing issues facing the state.
A source close to the Governor’s office confirmed that the new advisers are expected to work closely with the Governor to design policies that align with the aspirations of the people of Rivers State.
Governor Fubara’s team, which includes these seasoned professionals, is already anticipated to make a significant impact on the state’s governance structure in the months ahead.
