The bodies of Sina Ghami and Latif “Latz” Ayodele, close friends of international boxing star Anthony Joshua, have been flown out of Nigeria for burial following their tragic deaths in a car accident.
The fatal crash occurred on December 29 along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway in Makun, Ogun State. Joshua and the deceased were travelling together when their Lexus SUV collided with a stationary truck on the highway.
Both Sina Ghami and Latif Ayodele died instantly at the scene, while Joshua sustained injuries and was rushed to hospital for treatment. He was later discharged on Wednesday evening, December 31.
The two men had travelled to Nigeria to spend the Christmas holiday with Joshua before the tragic incident cut their visit short.
After necessary procedures were completed, the bodies of the deceased were released and flown abroad, where burial arrangements are expected to take place.
