Popular Nigerian influencer, Tunde Ednut, has alleged that actress Regina Daniels’ recent public appearance with an alleged new boyfriend abroad angered her estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, and led to the arrest of her best friend, Ann.
Tunde Ednut made the claim in an Instagram post on Monday evening while reacting to the arrest of Ann by the Lagos State Police. Ann was reportedly arrested over allegations of theft and other claims made against her by the senator.
According to reports, the arrest came just days after Regina Daniels was seen in a nightclub overseas with a man believed to be her new romantic partner.
Reacting to the situation, Tunde Ednut appealed to Senator Nwoko to move on and allow Regina Daniels live her life without interference. He suggested that the arrest was unnecessary and motivated by personal anger rather than justice.
While acknowledging the senator’s power and influence, Ednut criticised what he described as repeated attempts to target Regina’s family and close associates.
“You don’t have to keep trying to arrest her family members all the time. It’s enough. We know you are powerful and influential, but it’s okay sir. At this point, you have to move on,” he wrote.
He further accused the senator of finding new ways to harass Regina’s loved ones, urging him to stop.
“Sir, it’s time to let that girl go. She doesn’t want you anymore. Just leave her and her family alone,” he stated.
Tunde Ednut also claimed that Regina’s appearance with her alleged new boyfriend was the main trigger for the arrest.
“I know it’s that picture of her alleged new boyfriend’s hand on her waist that triggered this new arrest, but sir, you have to find it in your heart to let her go,” he wrote.
He concluded by reminding Senator Nwoko of his public responsibilities, urging him to focus on his duties as a lawmaker rather than personal issues.
“You are a senator. Don’t forget you have work to do,” Ednut added.
The claims have since sparked mixed reactions online, with social media users debating the situation surrounding Regina Daniels, her estranged husband, and the arrest of her friend.
