Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage has opened up about her dating life, revealing that she has experienced only one truly good relationship, which ended tragically with the death of her partner.
The 45-year-old made the revelation during an emotional interview with Korty EO, where she reflected on her past relationships and described most of them as deeply disappointing.
“There is hardly any relationship I would look back at and see anything positive. They are all d*cks! Actually, there is one, but he passed away. May his soul rest in peace. He was incredible,” she said.
Tiwa explained that aside from her late lover, she has been unlucky in love and has endured painful experiences in relationships. She added that these experiences have shaped how she raises her son, especially in teaching him how to treat women.
According to the singer, she constantly advises her son to be respectful and kind to women because of what she personally suffered in unhealthy relationships.
Tiwa Savage was previously married to music executive Tunji Balogun, popularly known as Tee Billz. The couple got married in 2013 and divorced in 2018. They have one son together, Jamil.
The singer’s comments have since sparked conversations online, with many fans praising her honesty and vulnerability.
