Nigerian socialite Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, has reacted to Davido’s recent loss at the Grammy Awards.

He claimed that Davido’s repeated Grammy losses might be an attempt by some Western music executives to frustrate him and pressure him into doing things he described as “demonic.”
At the 2026 Grammy Awards held on Sunday, Davido lost the Best African Music Performance category to South African singer Tyla.

Reacting through an Instagram post, Cubana Chief Priest encouraged Davido to remain strong and continue to uphold his personal values. He advised the singer not to compromise his beliefs because of pressure from the global music industry.

He also urged Davido to move past the disappointment, continue making music, and keep entertaining his fans. According to him, Davido should stay focused, keep releasing hit songs, and never give up despite the setback.

He wrote, “Oyibo dey do everything possible to break a strong man so he can do their demonic sh*t with them but he will never do ot. Heads up brother, open the bag and drop another hot one for us. E no dey finish, gbedu na water.”
