Legendary American Actor, James Van Der Beek Passes Away

James Van Der Beek, the famous American actor best known for his role as Dawson Leery in the popular 1990s TV series “Dawson’s Creek,” has passed away.

His wife announced his death through an Instagram post, confirming that he died on February 11, 2025. According to the family, the actor faced his final moments with courage, faith, and grace. They also requested privacy as they mourn his loss.

In the emotional post, his wife wrote:

“Our beloved James David Han passed peacefully this morning. He met his final days with courage faith and grace.There is much to share regarding his wishes, love for humanity and the sacrifices of time.Thoes days will come. For now, we ask for peaceful privacy as we grieve our husband, father , son , brother and friend”.

James Van Der Beek was born on March 8, 1977, in Cheshire, Connecticut, USA. He gained worldwide recognition for his role in “Dawson’s Creek,” which aired from 1998 to 2003 and made him a household name.
