Cynosure Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Hospital has denied claims that a viral video showing a woman screaming during a cosmetic procedure was recorded at its facility.
The hospital has been facing public scrutiny following the reported death of Jessica Elena, who allegedly died after complications related to a cosmetic surgery procedure.
In a statement shared on its Instagram page, the hospital said it was aware of the disturbing video circulating on social media but clarified that the footage did not originate from its clinic.
According to the hospital’s management, although they had previously confirmed performing reconstructive surgery on Elena, they do not know where the procedure shown in the viral video was carried out.
The hospital also expressed concern that the continued circulation of the video could cause more pain to the deceased’s family and urged the public to be sensitive.
In the statement, the hospital said:
“Cynosure Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Hospital is aware of a video circulating on social media showing a patient screaming during a surgical procedure, which is being falsely attributed to our facility. We state clearly: this video was not recorded at our clinic and we do not know the location of the facility where it occurred.
The circulation of this content adds additional distress to the grieving family, and we appeal to the public to handle it with compassion and sensitivity. We extend our deepest condolences to the patient’s family during this difficult time. Setting the record straight.”
The hospital also extended its condolences to Elena’s family and stated that it is ready to cooperate with any investigation to clarify the circumstances surrounding the incident and clear its name.
