Popular socialite and businessman, Cubana Chief Priest, has admitted that not supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu during the last general election was a mistake.

He made the statement while speaking at a political gathering in Imo State, where he explained that he has now decided to adopt a different political approach by working with the federal government.

According to him, the event followed weeks of planning and reflected growing unity and support for the current administration.

The businessman said years of political opposition had not produced the desired results, which led to the decision to change strategy.

He said:
“We have decided to partner with the government at the center. We are not ready to fight. We tried fighting and it didn’t work for us.”

Cubana Chief Priest also praised the governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodimma, for maintaining a strong relationship with the federal government, adding that such cooperation has helped bring development to the state.

He also commended Seyi Tinubu, describing him as a unifying figure who is helping strengthen relationships across different ethnic and regional groups.

Reflecting on the last election, the socialite admitted that he had previously opposed Tinubu but now sees that decision as a political mistake.

“Politics is a game… we don’t want to lose again and we will never waste our votes again,” he said.

He added that the increasing support around the president could grow into one of the biggest political movements in the country, promising stronger mobilisation ahead of future elections.

Cubana Chief Priest concluded by praying for Tinubu’s success in office and urged Nigerians to embrace unity, cooperation, and partnership as the country moves forward.
