President Bola Tinubu and his wife, Oluremi Tinubu, on Wednesday attended a special exhibition showcasing Nigerian-related artefacts during the opening day of their state visit to the United Kingdom.

The exhibition took place at Windsor Castle, where King Charles III and Queen Camilla personally guided the Nigerian first family through a collection of items drawn from the Royal Collection Trust. The display was held in the Green Drawing Room and forms part of activities scheduled for the two-day visit.

Earlier in the day, the British monarch accorded the visiting Nigerian leaders a ceremonial welcome, which featured a 42-gun salute by the King’s Troop Royal Horse Artillery.

A state banquet is scheduled to hold later at St George’s Hall. Both President Tinubu and King Charles are expected to deliver speeches at the event. The gathering will host a mix of political figures and notable personalities with connections to Nigeria.

The exhibition marks one of several engagements planned to strengthen diplomatic and cultural ties between Nigeria and the United Kingdom during the visit.
