Arsenal recorded an undesirable milestone on Sunday after suffering a 2-1 defeat to Manchester City in a Premier League encounter at the Etihad Stadium.
The visitors fell behind as Pep Guardiola’s side secured all three points, with striker Erling Haaland scoring the decisive goal in the second half.
The result marked a difficult run for Mikel Arteta’s team. According to OptaJoe, the loss means Arsenal have now suffered four straight defeats across domestic league and cup competitions for the first time under Arteta. It is also their first such streak since March 2018, which included two losses against Manchester City.
Despite the setback, Arsenal remain at the top of the Premier League standings. They hold a three-point advantage over Manchester City.
The Gunners will aim to recover when they face Newcastle United in their next fixture on April 25.
