Stakeholders of the All Progressive Congress (APC) from Borno South had endorse Senator Ali Ndume for a 5th term in the Nigerian Senate.
Senator Ndume who has served the zone since 2011 also served two terms in the House of Representatives, representing Chibok/Damboa/Gworza federal constituency.
The stakeholders led by Adamu Yamta have raised N40 million to procure the party’s form for the senator.
Yamta who also led a delegation to the residence of Bello Ayuba, APC chairman in Borno State, conveyed the zones resolution and seeked the party’s support.
Responding, Ayuba commended stakeholders from the zone for her unity and support for the APC.
“I thought this meeting was for just three or five people. I am truly surprised by this massive turnout and even more impressed by the quality of stakeholders drawn from all the Local Government Areas of Borno South.
“Even members of the state party executive are here. Indeed, Senator Ndume belongs to all of us,” he said.
