Bayelsa State Deputy Governor, Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, was rushed to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Yenagoa, on Thursday after reportedly collapsing in his office.
Security personnel immediately sealed off the hospital premises, limiting access as medical teams attended to him. Several top government officials were also seen visiting the facility to show concern over the incident.
Efforts to reach the deputy governor’s media aide, Mr. Doubara Atasi, for comments were unsuccessful.
