Chelsea cruised into the next round of the FA Cup with a dominant 4–0 victory over Hull City on Friday night, while Wrexham secured a narrow win against Ipswich Town to progress.
Chelsea delivered a commanding display at the MKM Stadium, inspired by a brilliant performance from Pedro Neto.
The forward opened the scoring with a sharp finish from a Liam Delap pass before producing a stunning second goal directly from a corner kick.
Estevao added a third with composed finishing, and Neto later completed his hat trick after another clever lay-off from Delap to seal an emphatic win.
Hull struggled to respond as frustrations grew, leading to bookings for John Lundstram and Joe Gelhardt, while Lewis Koumas struck the post late on in what proved only a minor consolation.
In the night’s other tie, Wrexham edged Ipswich Town 1–0, with Josh Windass scoring the decisive goal in the 34th minute.
The Welsh side then produced a disciplined defensive performance to hold off pressure and book their place in the next round.
