Cristiano Ronaldo has won the Saudi Pro League title for the first time since joining Al-Nassr.
Al-Nassr secured the championship on Thursday after a 4-2 victory against Damac in their final league match of the season.
The race for the title extended to the last day after Al-Nassr dropped points against Al-Hilal in the previous round of fixtures. That result increased pressure on Jorge Jesus’ men ahead of the clash with Damac, who were also battling to avoid relegation.
Ronaldo played a major role in the victory as he scored twice for Al-Nassr. His brace helped the club finish ahead of rivals Al-Hilal in the final standings.
Sadio Mane gave Al-Nassr the lead in the opening half, while Kingsley Coman added another goal after the break before Ronaldo completed his double to seal the triumph.
The success marks Ronaldo’s first league title in Saudi Arabia since his move to the club.
