Popular rapper and activist Folarin Falana, known as Falz, has demanded the resignation of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu following the abduction of over 100 students and staff in Niger State.

Armed attackers stormed St. Mary’s Catholic School in Papiri, Agwara Local Government Area, in the early hours of November 21, kidnapping dozens of students and teachers.

The Niger State Police confirmed the incident, stating that tactical units, military personnel, and other security agencies are currently combing nearby forests in an ongoing rescue operation.

State authorities, however, faulted the school for resuming academic activities without government approval, despite earlier security warnings.

Falz, reacting to the incident, condemned the president’s failure to protect citizens, stating that Tinubu has “failed woefully” in addressing the country’s worsening insecurity.
