The Federal Government has declared Friday, June 6, and Monday, June 9, 2025, as public holidays to celebrate this year’s Eid-ul-Adha.

The announcement was made by the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, on behalf of the Federal Government. He extended warm greetings to all Muslim faithful in Nigeria and across the world, urging them to reflect on the values of sacrifice, obedience, and faith as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim (Peace be upon Him).

Dr. Tunji-Ojo also called on Nigerians to use the festive period to pray for national peace, unity, and prosperity.

Highlighting ongoing reforms under President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, the Minister assured citizens that the government remains committed to putting Nigeria back on the path of progress.

He concluded by wishing the Muslim Ummah a joyous Eid-ul-Adha celebration and encouraged all Nigerians to support the current administration in rebuilding a stronger nation.
