The President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, has expressed worry over the escalating security situation in the country.

Akpabio, while speaking on Tuesday during the commissioning of the new corporate headquarters of the Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS),  said insecurity in the country is sponsored and politically motivated.

“Insecurity is increasing because election is coming, because people don’t know what to do again. Immediately after election, two weeks after election, the insecurity will stop. The insecurity is being sponsored by people,” he said.
