At the 2025 BET Awards, held on June 9 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles and hosted by Kevin Hart, Jamie Foxx made a powerful return to the spotlight.

Accepting an award during the show, Foxx got emotional as he spoke about his health journey and the love he’s received.

“I can’t even begin to express the love that I feel from everybody out there,” he said through tears. “I don’t know why I went through what I went through, but I know my second chance, I’m not gonna turn down.”

Foxx suffered a serious stroke in April 2023 due to a brain bleed. He was in a coma for 20 days and spent months recovering—a struggle he had kept mostly private until now.

The tribute to Foxx included heartfelt performances from stars like T-Pain, Jennifer Hudson, Babyface, Craig Robinson, and Ludacris. Their appearances honored not just his career, but his strength and resilience.
