The Kano State Government has intensified coordinated security operations across vulnerable communities as part of ongoing efforts to combat bandit activities and restore lasting peace.

This was contained in a statement signed by the governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, on Tuesday.

Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf disclosed that he had visited President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to brief him on the escalating security situation affecting parts of Kano State.

According to the governor, President Tinubu fully understood the gravity of the threat and immediately ordered the deployment of a specialized security team to Kano to reinforce ongoing operations.

Governor Yusuf further explained that arrangements are already underway to enhance mobility, strengthen logistics, and provide additional operational support required by security agencies to effectively confront banditry.
