His Excellency, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State, has sought the support of Ahmadu Bello University towards resuscitation of education in the state.

Yusuf was speaking when Vice-Chancellor, Ahmadu Bello University, Prof Adamu Ahmed, visited him at Government House, Kano on Monday.

Governor Yusuf, who said his decision to declare a state of emergency was to overhaul the sector, expressed the willingness of his administration to partner ABU on staff capacity building.

The Vice-Chancellor met the governor in the continued effort to secure ABU landed properties in Kano and other parts of the country.

Yusuf, who lauded ABU for its academic excellence since its establishment in 1962, urged the institution to increase the Kano admission quota.
