The Executive Chairperson of Tudun Wada Local Government Area in Kano State, Hon. Sa’adatu Salisu Soja MaiJamaa, has formally withdrawn her membership from the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP).

Sa’adatu made this known through a resignation letter dated Friday, January 23, 2026, which she addressed to the leadership of the party in Tudun Wada Local Government Area.

A copy of the letter, which was obtained by journalists, indicated that her action was influenced by the political path chosen by the Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf.

“My decision to resign was necessitated in order to follow the footsteps of my leader, His Excellency Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, Executive Governor of Kano State,” she said.

She noted that the step was taken after careful consideration, with the aim of enabling her contribute more effectively to the development drive of Kano State and the welfare of its residents through impactful projects and initiatives.

“In view of the above, I hereby resign my membership of the party,” the letter stated.

The council chairperson also thanked the leadership and members of the NNPP for the cooperation and support she received throughout her stay in the party.
