Manchester City lost further ground in the Premier League title race after a 3-3 draw with Everton on Monday night.
Pep Guardiola’s side went into the fixture at the Hill Dickinson trailing leaders Arsenal by six points. They looked set for victory before the break when Jeremy Doku found the net with a fine curling effort.
Everton responded strongly in the second half. The hosts scored three goals through Thierno Barry, who struck twice, and Jake O’Neil to turn the game around.
City fought back to avoid defeat. Erling Haaland and Doku both scored to secure a share of the points.
The result leaves City five points behind Arsenal. However, they have a chance to reduce the gap when they face Brentford before Mikel Arteta’s team take on West Ham.
