Nigerian singer Shallipopi has opened up about the harsh treatment he received from some artists during the early stage of his career.

The “Ex-convict” crooner revealed that between 2023 and 2024, several industry colleagues were not welcoming and treated him badly when he was trying to break into the music scene.

According to him, those experiences shaped his current attitude, making him tougher and less friendly.

“2023/2024 many artist pour me spit for face…. I mean manyyyyyy, that’s why I’m extra mean, ogun go kill of una one by one as time dey go,” he wrote on X.

Shallipopi rose to fame after his hit song “Elon Musk” went viral online, bringing him into the spotlight.
