Mohammed Babangida, son of former military President **Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (IBB), has dismissed reports suggesting he rejected an appointment from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

In a statement released on Monday, Babangida described the claims as entirely false, insisting he has not turned down any offer from the federal government.

“I did not reject any appointment from President Tinubu. The rumours making the rounds are baseless and misleading,” he said.

The statement comes amid social media speculation that he declined his appointment as the chairman of Bank of Agriculture, stirring controversy in political circles. Babangida urged the public to ignore what he called an attempt to spread misinformation, reaffirming his respect for the president and readiness to serve the country if called upon.
