Eminent leaders and stakeholders of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) have issued a communiqué calling for transparency, inclusivity, and respect for court rulings as the party prepares for its national convention.
The group demanded fresh congresses in Ebonyi, Anambra, and Ekiti as well as a new South-East Zonal Congress while urging the party to respect the outcome of the South-South Congress held in Calabar.
They also rejected any form of micro-zoning, insisting that the National Chairman’s seat remain in the North-Central in line with the 2021 zoning formula.
Warning that failure to comply would render the convention invalid, the stakeholders urged unity, fairness, and justice to restore the PDP’s relevance as Nigeria’s leading opposition.
