A police officer has been arrested in connection with the killing of a soldier in Futuk, Alkaleri Local Government Area of Bauchi State.
The acting Assistant Director, Army Public Relations, 33 Artillery Brigade, Atang Hallet Solomon, confirmed the incident on Tuesday.
Although details surrounding the incident remain sketchy, Solomon assured that a joint investigation is underway to unravel the circumstances that led to the killing.
Security sources disclosed that the suspect is currently in custody and will face due process.
The Army and Police authorities have yet to issue full statements on the matter.
