The Nigeria Police have sealed the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Secretariat at Wadata Plaza, Abuja.
The action follows a heated clash on Tuesday between two factions of the party — the Saminu Turaki-led group and members loyal to Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesom Wike.
The confrontation caused chaos at the secretariat, where Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde and Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed were teargassed during the face-off.
Security operatives moved in on Wednesday morning and shut down the building to prevent further unrest as tensions within the party continue to escalate.
