The Africa Cup of Nations has always been more than a football tournament. It is a stage where sport, culture, and design converge, turning kits into powerful expressions of national identity. At AFCON 2025 in Morocco, jerseys once again transcended the pitch—doubling as cultural statements, collector’s items, and global fashion pieces.

From heritage-inspired craftsmanship to bold, experimental graphics, these are the five kits that defined the tournament’s visual identity.

1. Mali

Mali claim top honors at AFCON 2025 with a kit collection that feels closer to wearable art than traditional sportswear. Their ongoing collaboration with Airness continues to set a benchmark for creativity in international football.

The home jersey is built on a clean white base, animated by vibrant geometric patterns in the national colors—a carefully measured balance of restraint and expression. The away kit, however, is the standout. Rendered in deep forest green, it features an oversized eagle—the national symbol—stretching across the torso with an assertive, almost confrontational presence. It is a design that commands attention and has quickly become one of the tournament’s most coveted jerseys.

2. Nigeria

Nigeria and Nike once again demonstrate why their partnership remains one of the most influential in global football culture. For AFCON 2025, the Super Eagles embraced a “street-to-pitch” design philosophy that emphasizes individuality and cultural confidence.

The away kit is particularly striking, departing from conventional templates in favor of a black-and-green “forest wash” palette. The result is a jersey that feels organic and dynamic, mirroring the youthful energy and unmistakable swagger that have turned Nigeria’s kits into staples of international streetwear.

3. Senegal

Senegal arrived in Morocco wearing a kit designed not just to represent, but to intimidate. Puma’s latest creation for the Lions of Teranga fuses refinement with menace.

The away jersey features a tonal lion’s head graphic woven directly into the fabric using undulating, psychedelic linework. From a distance, the pattern reads as an elegant texture; up close, the face of the lion emerges. It is a subtle yet powerful visual metaphor for Senegal’s status as one of Africa’s dominant footballing forces.

4. Morocco

As tournament hosts, Morocco faced the pressure of delivering a kit worthy of both occasion and heritage. Puma responded with a design rooted in tradition and elevated by craftsmanship.

The home jersey is dressed in a deep crimson, embossed with Zellij-inspired patterns drawn from Morocco’s historic mosaic art. The detailing is understated but luxurious, complemented by emerald green accents that lend a regal finish. It stands as the most refined kit of AFCON 2025—a seamless dialogue between ancient architecture and modern performance wear.

5. Cameroon

Cameroon’s kit designs have rarely played it safe, and their 2025 away jersey continues that legacy of experimentation. Produced in collaboration with Fourteen, the design introduces a “digital camouflage” concept.

Pixelated fragments of green, red, and yellow scatter across a white base, evoking everything from high-definition glitches to retro video game graphics. It is a polarizing design, but undeniably effective in capturing attention—ensuring the Indomitable Lions once again sit at the center of the kit conversation.
