Three students of an Islamic school in Kano have been arraigned before a Magistrate Court for allegedly killing their teacher and mutilating his body.
The suspects — Inuwa Muhammad, Abba Rabi’u, and Yahaya Rabi’u — were charged with criminal conspiracy, unlawful possession of a weapon, and culpable homicide.
Prosecuting counsel, Barrister Maryam Halilu Dantiye, told the court that the defendants conspired to falsely brand their teacher, Malam Isyaku, as a kidnapper. They allegedly lured him to a nearby bush, shot him with a local gun, and removed one of his eyes and his genital organs.
The prosecutor said investigations were ongoing, while the case has been adjourned for further hearing.
