Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo, a senior leader in the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN), has claimed that the Muslim–Muslim leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima amounts to “genocide in the political world” against Christians. He made the statement during an interview on Channels Television’s The Morning Brief.
Speaking on the alleged persecution of Christians in Nigeria, Rev. Dachomo questioned why both the president and vice president share the same religion, arguing that it sends a dangerous message to Christian communities.
He accused the Federal Government of promoting an Islamic agenda aimed at dominating the entire country, warning Christians to stay alert and be conscious of unfolding political changes. According to him, those in power are attempting to force the Christian population into Islam.
Rev. Dachomo also expressed concern about rising insecurity and tension across several regions, alleging that attacks are often misrepresented as reprisals to protect certain groups. He said Christians cannot afford to remain silent while the situation worsens.
He urged believers to act decisively to protect future generations, insisting that Nigeria must empower people who are ready to confront insecurity head-on. Rev. Dachomo warned that failure to speak up now may allow extremist elements to take control of the country.
