The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has approved the immediate promotion of over 2,000 workers of the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) and the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA).

The promotions followed promotion examinations conducted between Tuesday, November 25 and Saturday, November 29, 2025.

Chairman of the FCT Civil Service Commission, Emeka Ezeh, disclosed this on Wednesday, stating that the promoted officers cut across 165 cadres within the FCTA and FCDA.

Ezeh described the approval as a clear demonstration of Wike’s commitment to staff welfare and career progression, assuring workers that promotion examinations would continue to be conducted as and when due.

He urged civil servants to begin early preparation for the 2025 and 2026 promotion exercises, stressing that only diligent and hardworking officers would be promoted.
