Kano Pillars have confirmed their retained squad for the upcoming 2025/26 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season, with veteran stars Ahmed Musa and club captain Rabiu Ali leading the list.

The club’s announcement, made on Saturday, also confirmed that Shehu Abdullahi—another Super Eagles regular—will remain with the Sai Masu Gida side as they prepare for the new campaign.

A host of other first-team players were also retained, including Muttaka Musa, Abdullahi Abubakar, Fahad Usman, Dawud Ibrahim, Abdullahi Ali, Yusuf Bala Maigoro, Naziru Auwalu Ibrahim, Aminu Adam Sani, Habibu Yakubu, Mustapha Umar, and Ibrahim Sani Halliru.

Goalkeeper Jerry Alex, along with Umar Sani Yakasai, Auwal Ali Malam, Imran Ahmad, Sudais Ali Baba, Zaharadeen Bello, Yusuf Abdullahi, Bright Emmanuel, Ibrahim Inuwa, and Mubarak Lawal, are also among those retained by the club.

In line with the club’s youth development strategy, several promising players from the developmental squad have been promoted to the senior team. They include Jibrin Yusuf, Aminu Muhammed, Mustapha Muhammed, and Muhammad Usman.

The club is expected to make further announcements in the coming days as preparations intensify for the new NPFL season.
