Al-Nassr extended their dominance in the Saudi Pro League on Saturday with a 2-0 away win over Al-Akhdoud, securing a club-record 14th consecutive league victory.
The result keeps Al-Nassr firmly at the top of the table with 73 points from 28 matches. They now hold a five-point lead over second-placed Al-Hilal, with six fixtures remaining in the season.
Cristiano Ronaldo opened the scoring in the 15th minute, finishing from close range to register his 24th league goal of the campaign. He now sits three goals behind Al-Ahli striker Ivan Toney in the race for the league’s top scorer award.
João Félix doubled the advantage two minutes after the restart. He reacted quickest inside the box to convert a rebound after Kingsley Coman’s header struck the post.
The victory marks Al-Nassr’s longest winning run in their history, surpassing their previous record of 13 consecutive league wins set during the 2013–2014 season, according to the Saudi Pro League.
Al-Nassr continue their push for the title as the season approaches its final stretch, with momentum strongly on their side following another composed performance away from home.
