The Confederation of African Football (CAF), in collaboration with the AFCON Morocco 2025 Local Organising Committee, has announced that fans travelling to Morocco for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations will be eligible for free electronic visas.
The new policy applies to citizens of countries that ordinarily require visas to enter Morocco and is aimed at easing travel as global demand for Africa’s biggest football tournament continues to rise.
According to a statement released on CAF’s official website, electronic visas — which can be obtained through the YALLA mobile application — will now be issued at no charge to supporters attending the tournament scheduled for 21 December 2025 to 18 January 2026.
CAF explained that fans will require two key documents to attend matches and stay in Morocco during the tournament: a Fan ID and an e-visa.
“A Fan ID is mandatory for entry to all stadiums and official Fan Areas. Supporters can apply for both the Fan ID and e-visa in one place inside the YALLA app, streamlining travel and stadium access,” the statement said.
The application process for both documents is fully integrated within the YALLA app to ensure a fast, secure, and convenient experience for both international visitors and local attendees.
Fans can begin the process by downloading the YALLA app on Google Play or the App Store, or by visiting the official YALLA website. After completing the Fan ID form and, where necessary, the e-visa request, supporters can proceed to purchase match tickets on CAF’s ticketing platform.
CAF stated that the measure is designed to provide a seamless and secure experience for fans ahead of the continent’s premier football event, which will be staged across nine stadiums in six Moroccan cities.
With Morocco hosting the tournament for the first time since 1988, anticipation is high as 24 teams prepare to compete in what promises to be one of the most exciting editions in recent years.
