Bayern Munich president Uli Hoeneß has reflected on the club’s transfer policy during the 2025 summer window, noting that the club made the right decision not to sign Xavi Simons, Jamie Gittens, and Benjamin Sesko.

Fabrizio Romano on his X handle on Monday, quoted the president as saying, “We made the right decision not to sign any of these players,” he said, referring to young talents Xavi Simons, Jamie Bynoe‑Gittens, and Benjamin Šeško.”

Hoeneß defended the club’s cautious approach, pointing to the potential financial risks of aggressive spending and emphasising Bayern’s commitment to sustainable growth.

Speaking on Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane, he said the forward has a release clause until the end of January.

“Kane has a release clause until the end of January. We assume that he will definitely fulfill his contract until 2027. “And if it were up to us, and I’ve heard he wants it too. He will extend, and his family feels comfortable in Germany.

“Harry Kane only ever worked with bodyguards at home [in London]. You don’t necessarily need that kind of life. “His family feels very comfortable here. In Munich, you can still go about your business in peace,” he added.

Bayern Munich’s next game is on Wednesday against Union Berlin in the DFB-Pokal round of 16
