Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen has revealed that defeat affects him so deeply that he struggles to sleep whenever he loses a match.

The Nigerian international, who has been in top form this season, scored a brace as Galatasaray edged Samsunspor 3-2 in the Turkish Super Lig on Friday.

Speaking on the Smallie YouTube channel, Osimhen admitted that losing — whether in street football, professional matches, the World Cup, or AFCON — has always been painful for him.

He said losing feels “very cruel,” explaining that he has disliked defeat since childhood.

While acknowledging that losing is part of football, Osimhen said those close to him know how much it affects his mood and sleep.

“People who live with me know that if I lose a match, it’s very hard for me to sleep,” he said, adding that he becomes “a completely different beast” whenever he steps onto the pitch.

Osimhen continues to be one of Galatasaray’s standout performers this season, delivering decisive goals and maintaining his competitive edge.
