Brazilian football legend Roberto Carlos has directly addressed recent health rumors, offering clarity and reassurance to concerned supporters. The former defender confirmed he underwent a scheduled medical intervention after consulting with his doctors but emphasized the procedure was entirely preventive in nature.
In a statement provided to SportsCenter, the 2002 World Cup winner sought to dispel any alarm. “Recently, I underwent a routine preventive medical procedure, which had been scheduled in advance with my medical team,” Carlos explained. “Everything went smoothly, and I am feeling well. I did not have a heart attack.”

He added, “I am now gradually recovering and look forward to returning to full fitness and resuming my professional and personal activities. I sincerely thank everyone for their support, care, and concern. I want to assure you: there is no reason to worry.”
