Olympique Marseille have signed Nigerian midfielder Tochukwu Nnadi from Belgian side Zulte Waregem in a €6m deadline-day deal.
The 22-year-old, who impressed in Belgium with 18 appearances this season, arrived in France on Monday to finalize the transfer. Speaking at Marignane airport, Nnadi said: “I’m glad to be here. It’s my first day in France. I’m here to play football and fight for the team. This is my ambition.”
Marseille, nine-time French champions, described the move as an “unexpected signing” and acted swiftly to secure the Super Eagles international, who debuted at AFCON 2025.
Nnadi began his professional career in 2021 with Botev Plovdiv in Bulgaria before joining Zulte Waregem in January 2024. His strong performances in Belgium earned him this high-profile switch to Ligue 1, where he will now continue his development under Marseille’s setup.
