Arsenal great Thierry Henry shared a memorable exchange with Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen on live television, greeting him in Nigerian Pidgin English after Galatasaray’s Champions League victory over Juventus on Wednesday night.

Henry, working as a pundit for CBS, spoke with Osimhen following Galatasaray’s 7–5 aggregate win that secured their first appearance in the competition’s second round in 12 years. Osimhen scored in extra time to help confirm qualification, adding to the Turkish side’s strong 5–2 first-leg advantage.

Juventus fought back in the return leg, scoring three times to force extra time, but Galatasaray responded with two goals in the additional period to seal progression.

In the post-match interview, Henry opened in Pidgin:
“Victor, this is Thierry. First and foremost, how bodi? Bodi dey?”
Osimhen replied with a smile: “Yeah, bodi dey fine.”

The conversation then moved to match analysis.
