Jamie Carragher has warned Liverpool manager Arne Slot that he may have reached a “point of no return” with the club’s supporters after a disappointing 1-1 draw against Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield. The former Reds defender believes the Dutch coach is losing the trust of fans, raising doubts about his future at the club.

Liverpool were held to a 1-1 draw by Spurs, with Richarlison cancelling out Dominik Szoboszlai’s first-half strike.

The Anfield crowd voiced their frustration, booing the team off the pitch after another late concession that dented their top-four hopes.

Speaking on Sky Sports, Carragher suggested Slot may struggle to win back the fans, describing the performance as “awful” and questioning whether he remains the right man to lead the team.

Carragher argued that once the Anfield faithful turn against a manager, it is extremely difficult to repair the relationship.

He highlighted Liverpool’s repeated defensive lapses and lack of intensity, which have undermined their push for Champions League qualification.

Carragher hinted that a change in leadership might be necessary if results and performances do not improve quickly.

Slot admitted the late equaliser was “damaging” but insisted his team is still fighting for a top-four finish.

Despite being reigning champions, Liverpool’s inconsistent form has left them vulnerable, and the atmosphere at Anfield reflects growing discontent.

Slot faces a crucial period, with upcoming fixtures likely to determine whether he can steady the ship or face calls for replacement.

The warning underscores the importance of fan support at Liverpool, where managers are often judged as much by the atmosphere they generate as by results.

If performances continue to falter, the board may be forced to consider alternatives to Slot, especially with Champions League qualification at stake.

As a respected former player and pundit, Carragher’s words carry weight, amplifying pressure on the current manager.

Carragher’s stark warning reflects growing unease at Anfield. With fans disgruntled and results slipping, Arne Slot’s tenure is under serious scrutiny, and the coming weeks could prove decisive for his future at Liverpool.
